Injured Workers Fund
On June 24, 2002, IBEW Local #47 established it's Injured Workers Fund a 501 (c) (3) to benefit our Local 47 members who have been injured or suffer from severe illness. There are 2 ways to qualify for the benefit; 1. You must be hospitalized for 3 or more consecutive days as a result of an injury or illness. 2. You were involved in a work related accident that resulted in you missing 10 or more work days and a workman comp claim has been approved for such injury.
Please note, this fund is maintained by voluntary contributions made by our members and Local 47's various fundraising efforts. If you would like to contribute to the fund you may make a onetime contribution online by using the online dues payment form. You can enter a contribution amount in the Injured Workers Fund Contribution box, or check with your Union Representative to see if a re-occurring contribution is available from your employer through payroll deduction.
